Optores is selected as one of the top 20 start-ups for the Photonics Award. The competition invited startups in the European-wide technology community that are no more than five years old, and will present winners at the startup world at Laser World of Photonics trade show in Munich, Germany.

Optores is featured in VDI Nachrichten, the official publication of the The Association of German Engineers VDI (Verein deutscher Ingenieure).

Optores co-founder Robert Huber wins the European Inventor Award, together with James Fujimoto and Eric Swanson. Robert Huber invented the FDML laser, which was later commercialized by Optores, providing the world's first MHz-OCT solutions.
